Microneedling
Collagen Induction Therapy
What is Microneedling?
The microneedling device inserts tiny, sterile needles into the skin. The tiny “wounds” do not scar or cause any actual lasting damage, it is only enough to essentially trick and trigger the skin’s natural wound healing response, which induces several processes including the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, resulting in skin that is firmer, smoother, clearer and brighter.
The process can break up scar tissue, and smooth the area over time, even filling in pitted acne scars.
It improves skin texture, reducing roughness. It can tighten loose or crepey skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It evens skin tone, reducing uneven pigmentation, brown spots and redness.
It dramatically increases the effectiveness of skin products, allowing them to cross the skin’s barrier instead of sitting on the top as is usually the case.
The skin response is immediate in that it begins working right away, but the majority of the results are seen over time as the processes continue working over the course of about a month. Optimum activation occurs after approximately 4 treatments set one month apart. After that a treatment every 3 or 4 months is sufficient for maintenance.
For Scalp Health and Hair Regrowth
Microneedling, when applied to areas that have hair loss, has been shown to stimulate an increase in new hair growth and stronger, thicker hair with repeated treatments. Great results can be seen in thinning brows, receding hairlines and overall hair health. Full scalp microneedling can lessen dandruff as well as stimulating hair follicles.
Hair loss can occur for a great number of reasons, and there is no guarantee that microneedling or any other treatment will be able to regrow hair where there is loss. In such situations, this treatment can still help existing hair to grow in thicker and stronger.

Once it is determined during your consultation that you are a viable candidate, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area to minimize discomfort. After 15-20 minutes the numbing is complete and is removed.
Serums are applied to the skin and a microneedling device is moved over the skin while the tiny sterile needles quickly enter the skin reaching the proper skin depth creating tiny red blood spots and general redness.
Afterward, a cooling mask is applied and other add-ons, such as LED Light Therapy are available.
When the numbing has worn off, your skin will most likely feel sunburned at worst. Redness and sensitivity will last a day, up to 3 days. Peeling is also a natural response, although not everyone will experience it. However, to be safe, you should not schedule the treatment less than a week before an important event, photography session, or vacation. Skin must be protected from the sun after a treatment.
Protocols and aftercare products will be provided.
